Dot Lenahan in Broomall, Pennsylvania (Zone 7b) shared her new garden for the first time just a couple of years ago. At the time she had only 3 years worth of garden growth, but the color and interest she had attained was already impressive. With each year she continues to share more interesting updates that showcase a wonderful range of plants (Check out her previous submissions: Roses and Clematis Save Spring in Dot’s Pennsylvania Garden, Summer Scenes in Dot’s Gardenand Dot’s 3-Year-Old Garden), and today’s submission it no exception. Spring has finally erupted into color after a long winter in Pennsylvania, and a wonderful array of blue and purple blooms make the beginning of the growing season spectacularly serene.
Spring has finally arrived after a VERY long and snowy winter. I have been redoing many beds in addition to adding two new areas for perennials and cutting flowers. Our dog Jack has been chasing the two rabbits who have eaten two rose bushes down to the ground. He is also patrolling for the constant deer visitors. Hope you enjoy the emerging clematis blooms!
