Introducing Suttons 2026 NEW Petunia ‘Allegra F1’, The Biggest Petunia You’ll Ever Grow!

Bred on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, with over 140 years of collaboration. It towers, it re-flowers, and it’s a cut flower!

During a visit to our oldest Italian breeders, partners for 140 years, we discovered a revolutionary towering petunia that dwarfs them all. Reaching over five feet (1.5 m) and flowering for more than 5 months. Bursting with double flowers all summer, it’s male-sterile, so blooms drop naturally, no deadheading needed. Perfect for cut flowers with over 20 blooms per stem, each reaching up to 12cm wide.

Bedding just got bigger, bolder and better with Allegra F1… Perfect for a big impact display, bringing height and structure to patios, borders and containers.

Petunia 'Allegra' Comparison

A breeding breakthrough… Thanks to its modern breeding, ‘Allegra F1’ re-flowers all summer, for over five months of colour! This male sterile variety means strong stems, strong garden performance and exceptional growth. These towering giants will dwarf traditional trailing and mounding types.

Bring a touch of Italian chic indoors… Allegra’s strong, thick stems make it an exceptional cut flower, particularly in tall vases. With 20 blooms per long sturdy stem, each up to 12cm wide, it lasts a good 7-10 days in a vase. Enjoy it outside, then bring it inside. Very beautiful!

Sutton’s New Product Development Manager, Rob Smith, said: “They are bigger, bolder and better than any petunia I’ve grown before, and they make fantastic cut flowers too. I knew they were something special the moment I first saw them.”
