Starting garden plants indoors is rewarding on so many levels. It gives you something to do during the cold months and opens the door to  transplants of 1000s of varieties of plants you would never find at nurseries or your big box stores.  Not only that, it will save you a lot of money.

Even with the initial start up costs of buying lights, shelves and starting supplies, you save money. You can get a good 10 years out of lights now-a-days. The money you save starting you own plants will pay for itself in the first year. Instead of paying $2, $3 or more for a plant, you can grow your own for less 25 cents. You can even do a plant yard sale to make extra money for your garden.

I have a YT Channel called The Rusted Garden Homestead. Every year I do a video series that starts with Seed Starting in January and ends with harvesting and closing the beds in November. Join me in Maryland Zone 7 and I will teach you everything you need to know about having a garden.

Here are the videos, in order, for my 2020 series on Starting Seeds Indoors. It has about 20 video covering the topics below. Subscribe to my channel and watch me build my entire 2020 garden from seed starting to final harvesting. I do 2-4 videos every week. Ill be moving outside to the garden soon!
